What we do, and what we don't
Miami Placement helps families find assisted living. We share information, set up visits, and help you compare. We are not a health care provider. We don't give medical, legal or financial advice.
The homes on this site run on their own. Except for Mary's House ALF, which I run, we don't own, run or supervise any of them. We don't guarantee any home's care, staff, safety, prices or open beds. Prices, beds, services and photos come from each home. Open beds show the way the home last reported them, with the date.
Every home shows its AHCA license number. Please confirm it's active at FloridaHealthFinder.gov.
Each home's letter grade comes from its public AHCA inspection record by the rule on our How we grade page, as of the date shown. It sums up that record. It isn't a rating of the care, the staff or the home, and it isn't a recommendation.
Each home decides whether it can take someone after its own assessment, and each home is responsible for the care it gives. Before choosing a home, please visit it, ask questions, look up its license and inspection record at FloridaHealthFinder.gov, and talk with the person's doctor.
The choice of a home belongs to the person and their family, or to their legal guardian when a court has given that authority.
How we're paid
Families never pay us. Homes pay us only when a private pay family we introduced moves in. No home pays us for a Medicaid family, and we still help those families at no cost to them. Nobody pays to be shown first.

I run Mary's House ALF and have a personal interest in it. If it fits your family, I'll say so. If it doesn't, I'll say that too.
What we keep when you visit this site
Our own server keeps a standard record of each page that is opened: the page, the time, the browser and the internet address. We use it to count visits, see which pages help people, and keep the site safe, and it's deleted after 14 days. We don't use advertising trackers or screen recording, and we don't sell this record. To see whether a visit came from a business, such as a hospital, we may look up who owns the internet address in the public internet registry. Some links we send to professionals and homes carry a short code. When one is opened, that browser remembers the code for 90 days, and we record which pages of this site are viewed and for how long, so we know whether our information was useful. We don't keep the internet address with it, and we delete it after one year. Links we send to families never do. What you type on a form is used only to help with your request. If you start typing an address in the search box or on the Get Help form, the letters you type go to Google Maps to suggest matching addresses. We use the address you pick only to find the ZIP code and the distance to each home, and we don't save it.
